Yasmin is a poet, educator, actress, and workshop facilitator. Her written works often appear coupled with art shows such as; NE8, The Year She Wrote, NE9, Pattern & Puzzle, etc.

As a performance poet, Yasmin has performed poetry within The Bahamas and Canada. In 2018, she was commissioned by The Current Gallery at Bahamar. Her poetic works appeared in The National Art Gallery of The Bahamas Exhibitions 8 and 9. She organized and facilitated the writing workshop “Youse a Writer, Ey”, and was asked on as an instructor for the Summer Art Immersion program at The University of The Bahamas.

Glinton is an alumnus of St. Thomas University (Canada) & Goldsmith’s University. Currently, Glinton has four collections of poetry; The Year She Wrote (2017), At The Shore (2018), An Olive Branch(2020), and Yasology (2021)

The Year She Wrote was a three-part exhibition inclusive of visual artist Jodi Minnis, Leanne Russell, Nowe Harris Smith and Kai Sweeting, singers Thin Ice, David Hanna, and performance poets Tanicia Pratt and Disha Fraser. In 2019, Yasmin worked with Illitterati Bahamas, a Story Slam organization founded by Orchid Burnside & Sonia Farmer, as a workshop facilitator.

A Burning for Home is Glinton’s latest exhibition which features art by Abaconian artists. The show documents the process of healing for those artists and their community.
